Cinema 4D, After Effects, TouchDesigner
I was commissioned to create motion graphics using video data to produce morphing effects of actors. These visuals were projected behind the performers and cued with video mapping software at the end of each chapter.
Working from large-format projection files provided by the videographer, I developed a procedural system in TouchDesigner. This system dynamically tracked and applied morphing effects onto the actors' cutouts, even as the footage changed. This automation not only ensured seamless integration but also allowed rapid adaptation across performance chapters.
The procedural morphing system successfully integrated with the live performance, providing dynamic visual effects that enhanced the narrative at the end of each chapter. The automated TouchDesigner workflow enabled real-time adaptation to changing footage, ensuring consistent visual quality throughout the production.
